Mercaptans Breakthrough Indicator (BTI-AFT) is filter change indicator with auxiliary filter trap designed to provide real time indication of the breakthrough of toxic gases and vapors. Indicator is equipped with auxiliary filter trap to ensure no gases or vapors escape to the outside environment while the indicator changing color.
How the BTI AFT works?
When filter is consumed, toxic gases and vapors breakthrough it. The contaminated air then enters the BTI AFT and chemically reacts with the indicating sensor. Producing vivid color change, alerting the user to change the filter.
How to use the BTI AFT?
- Remove bottom protective red plug from the bottom of the breakthrough indicator.
- Screw in the male NPT threading at the bottom of the indicator into same female threading at the outlet of your filter.
- Replace filter when the breakthrough indicator changes Color.
